Pee Wee bulls win 3rd title for AHAI in 2013-2014!

Fort Worth, TX- The West Texas Bulls Peewees won the championship at the Kings cup classic tournament in January.   The Bulls Started the tournament with a win over the Nytex allstars 4-3. The next game didn’t go exactly as planned as the Bulls fell to the Lone Star Brahmas 7-2.  For the night cap, they needed a shootout to determine the winner, where the Bulls lost to OKC Oil kings in a shootout 8-7. The Peewee Bulls were the number 3 seed heading into the playoffs on Sunday morning. With the number 2 seed, OKC was the first challenge. After some adjustments and some much needed rest, the Bulls trounced the Oil Kings 8-2 in the first semifinal, setting up a showdown with the Brahmas. The Brahmas had beaten the Bulls 9-2 and 7-2 in their last 2 meetings. The score was tied at 1 with less than 2 minutes left when 2nd year peewee Cameron Paradiso scored the game winner from an off angle, top shelf, with  roughly 1:24 to play.   “It was one of those things you hear about, but never get to see”, said coach Francis, ” at the 2 minute to go mark, Paradiso turned to the bench and said ” we have two minutes to score a goal boys” then on his next shift, he went and did it!”

Coaches quote ” The boys played the best hockey they have played all year long. Its amazing to see a team play the system we put in place to perfection! If the last two playoff games were any indication, the Peewee Bulls are going to be a team to be reckoned with!”
